Little City Learners

About Me

Hi, I'm Fleur Ditzian. I'm a former teacher at two elite progressive private schools in New York City (Manhattan Country School and Little Red School House), where I have taught first grade, pre-K and a combined four-year-old/kindergarten classroom. I have a Masters degree in early-childhood education from Bank Street.  My dream has always been to work with young children and to have my own business, and I am thrilled to be living that dream.

I was born in the Netherlands and grew up across Europe, attending British and American schools as my family moved from city to city within Italy, Germany and Switzerland. I became a native trilingual speaker with fluency in Dutch, German and English (which certainly helps me relate to children acquiring a second language). When I was 12, my family moved to America, where I have lived ever since — the last 10 years in New York City.

Now I am married and live in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn with my husband, daughter, and the adorable dog we rescued from a shelter and named Teddy Mae.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information. I look forward to hearing from you.
